We have a mastery of Knowledge Management coming from years of study in academia as well as the battlefields of Afghanistan. We can map the flow of information to knowledge to operational relevance based on best practices from both the public and private sectors. As a result, we provide solutions through innovative processes that leverage today’s best technologies and business practices to support the strategic discipline of Knowledge Management.
KM Boot Camp
For the US Department of Defense, we developed a rigorous training and certification course for Knowledge Management practitioners and an introductory “KM Boot Camp.” This 40-hour course, delivered via our learning management site, concludes with certificate testing and has been in use by the US Army for over five years.
In the private sector, PTP delivered a KM Boot Camp to Southeastern University (SEU) in Florida. A professor of business praised:
“PTP provided SEU outstanding course curriculum that supported the first Knowledge Management Boot Camp the University offered. The curriculum was comprehensive, especially how PTP leveraged real-world experience throughout the course material. Our success with the course has led to integrating PTP’s KM course content into our Business Analyst undergraduate degree.”
– Joseph Childs, Professor of Business, Southeastern University
“Our team will help you use your current technology, or implement new solutions to break down stovepipes and ensure that the right people have the right information at the right time.”
KM Applied
USFOR-A Retrograde Fusion Cell
In real-world combat operations, PTP created KM solutions for U.S. Forces as they departed Afghanistan. The Retrograde Fusion Cell needed a common operational picture. We fused data from DoD Systems of Record, SQL databases, SharePoint, and custom apps into a unified dashboard (UDOP) to visualize $46B in assets, personnel movement, and base closures.
“Our ability to combine, analyze and deliver related information in a mission-focused display was critical to Mission Success.”
– and Mission Success is what we are about.
PTP developed KM enablers including:
- • Web app for tracking personnel (JPRS)
- • Web part for managing base closures (BTRS)
- • Geospatial visualization display (BDRVIZ)
